Concrete is the whole business
Sammson Concrete & Construction has been family-owned since 2000. Concrete is not a sideline here: it is what the family has done for generations, and it is the only thing we sell.
That means the person who quotes your job knows how it is going to be poured, and the crew that shows up is not learning your driveway on the way. No job is too big or too small — we have done single back steps and we have done whole commercial slabs.
Chicagoland is hard on concrete. Clay under the topsoil, water that has nowhere to go, and a freeze-thaw cycle that runs all winter. Twenty-plus years here is mostly twenty-plus years of learning what the base has to do before anybody pours anything on top of it.
How we work
How we like to work
We tell you what the job actually needs, even when that is less work than you were expecting. If a slab can be saved we will say so, and if a patch is going to fail we will say that too.
You get told what is happening while it happens — when the pour is, what the colour is going to look like, when it gets sealed. And the site is clean when we leave, because customers keep mentioning that and it is not a hard thing to get right.
If the village needs a permit or a correction, that is our paperwork to chase, not yours.
